About Peak Minds Leadership Academy

Supporting women to thrive. Changing the landscape of sport.

Peak Minds Leadership Academy was founded with a simple belief: when women are supported to lead sustainability, everyone benefits; from individuals and teams to organisations and the wider sporting community.

Our story

Built from experience. Created for change.

Peak Minds Leadership Academy was created from a simple belief: we can develop successful leaders without asking them to sacrifice themselves in the process.

After more than 25 years working within organisations, I had seen leadership from many different angles, the pressure, expectations and responsibility that come with progressing, but also what can happen when talented people are given the space, support and confidence to grow.

Alongside my corporate career, my work as a coach deepened my understanding of what sits beneath how we lead: our confidence, beliefs, behaviours, boundaries and the stories we tell ourselves about what we're capable of.

And when I looked at the world of sport a world I love I kept coming back to the same question:

Where are the women?

Women are contributing across sport at every level, yet too few are progressing into the most senior leadership positions.

Peak Minds was created at the intersection of those worlds: leadership, coaching and sport.

A space where women can pause, reflect and connect. Where they can develop as leaders without feeling they need to become someone else to succeed. And where organisations can think differently about how they develop, support and retain female talent.

Because changing who reaches the top doesn't start at the top.

It starts by creating better pathways all the way there.

Our Vision

A future where women thrive in leadership.

We envision a sporting landscape where women are represented, supported and empowered at every stage of their leadership journey.

From emerging leaders to CEOs, board members and sector influencers, our ambition is to help create a future where leadership is sustainable, inclusive and accessible to all.

Our Mission

Creating change through leadership.

Peak Minds Leadership Academy works alongside individuals, organisations and the wider sport sector to develop confident, authentic leaders while influencing the cultures that support them.

Our mission is to create spaces where women can pause, reflect, grow and lead in ways that are true to themselves while working with organisations to build healthier leadership environments for future generations.

Supporting Women

Through community, coaching and leadership development, we help women build confidence, clarity and sustainable leadership practices.

Supporting Organisations

We partner with sporting organisations to deliver workshops, facilitation, coaching and leadership development that strengthens people, teams and culture.

Influencing the Sector

Through the 1 in 5 Campaign, partnerships and advocacy, we champion conversations and action that help shape a stronger future for women in sport.

The Peak Minds Difference

Leadership development that starts with the person — and looks beyond her.

There are plenty of ways to teach leadership.

At Peak Minds, we're interested in something deeper.

We develop the person behind the leader while working with the environments, organisations and sector around her to create the conditions for women to progress, lead and thrive.

Because developing great women leaders isn't about teaching women to fit an existing mould.

It's about helping women lead as themselves — and creating workplaces where they can succeed when they do.

WE CONNECT THE PERSONAL WITH THE PRACTICAL

Leadership doesn't happen in a textbook.

Our approach brings together coaching, psychology and real-world organisational experience.

That means we can explore what's happening beneath the surface — confidence, beliefs and patterns — while staying grounded in the realities of leadership: decisions, relationships, visibility, change, progression and difficult conversations.

Insight matters. What you do with it matters too.

WE DON'T BELIEVE WOMEN NEED FIXING

Women are not the problem we're trying to solve.

Developing women without looking at the environment around them will only take us so far.

That's why Peak Minds works with both women and organisations — developing individual leadership while helping create stronger cultures, opportunities and pathways for women to progress.

Develop the woman. Strengthen the environment. Change what's possible.

WE START WITH SELF-LEADERSHIP

Before leadership is about managing others, it's about understanding yourself.

Confidence. Identity. Voice. Boundaries. Beliefs. Ambition. Energy.

We create space for women to understand how they lead, recognise what may be holding them back and build the confidence and self-trust to take their next step.

You don't need to become someone else to become a better leader.

WE'RE BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER

Peak Minds isn't only about individual development.

Through the 1 in 5 campaign, we're connecting that work to a bigger ambition: changing the face of leadership in Scottish sport.

That means bringing women, organisations and the wider sector into the same conversation and creating change together.

Because no single woman, organisation or programme can change the landscape alone.

But a sector with a shared vision can.

PAUSE, REFLECT, CONNECT

However you experience Peak Minds — through coaching, Women Rising, the Leadership Reset or our work with organisations — you'll find the same philosophy at its heart.

Space to think differently.

Space for honest conversation and meaningful connection.

Space to step away from the noise.

And support to turn reflection into action.

Leadership development shouldn't just change how you work.

It should change what's possible.

BE PART OF IT

Creating change takes all of us.

Whether you're a woman navigating your own leadership journey, an organisation investing in your people or someone who shares our ambition for the future of women in sport, there's a place for you at Peak Minds.
